A wide noseband distributes pressure over a larger area of the nasal bone. With the same level of action, it leaves less of a mark than a narrow noseband — the opposite of what intuition might suggest.
🧴 Care and use
⚠️ Adjust the flash strap after the noseband, never the other way around, and leave enough room for one finger: if it is too tight, it prevents the horse from chewing and produces the opposite of the intended effect. Clean with glycerine soap, then apply leather conditioner once the leather is dry.
