The elastic rubber quick-release closures fasten at the same notch every time, so the boot returns to the same level of tightness from one session to the next—something Velcro cannot guarantee. A tendon boot covers the back of the cannon bone, where the hind hoof or the other foreleg may strike. It should be worn during work, never in the pasture or stall: continuous wear makes the tendon sweat and weakens it instead of protecting it.
🧴 Care and usage instructions
Place it on a clean, dry leg, with the shell facing outward and the closures facing backward and pointing outward. Tighten it so that you can slide one finger between the boot and the cannon bone. ⚠️ Remove them immediately after the session. Rinse with clean water after each use and leave to air-dry, never on a radiator: the neoprene will harden. Regularly check the condition of the Velcro fasteners, as they are the first component to fail.
