Carabiners fully covered in leather: no more metal rattling against the bit, no more cold shock against the lips.
The name says it all. A bare carabiner jingles with every head movement and knocks against the bit; for a horse with a sensitive mouth or one that is easily startled, that noise matters. The leather covering completely muffles it. Otherwise, this is a classic rubber rein: woven rubber, five stops on each side, and a leather section with a martingale keeper. The martingale keeper prevents the ring from sliding up along the rein and hitting the buckle.
