Oiled leather on top for style and softness, rubber underneath for grip. Each side does what it does best.
A fully rubberized rein offers good grip but remains stiff and marks easily; a leather rein looks beautiful but slips in the rain. The Softgrip construction combines both: the visible side is made of supple oiled leather, while the back—the side held by the hand—is rubberized. Five stops per side, a narrow 16 mm cut, and three lengths. The stops are the small leather bridges sewn across the rein: they give the hand a secure reference point and help it find its position without having to look. The more stops there are, the finer the adjustment.

🧴 Care instructions
Rinse the rubberized back with clean water and leave it to air-dry. Clean the leather insert with glycerin soap and condition it like any other leather.
