A horse kept on sandy pasture swallows sand every day without anyone noticing. It builds up in the digestive tract until it causes sand colic—one of the most difficult types of colic to treat. SAND CLEAR 99 is a supplement containing 95% psyllium husks that helps flush it out.
Psyllium husk is the outer coating—or shell—of the Ispaghula seed. When it comes into contact with water, it forms a mucilage that coats sand particles and helps move them through the digestive tract and out of the body.
