🐎 Why choose this product?
The girth area is where the horse experiences the most chafing: the skin is thin, the elbow passes through it with every stride, and girth galls can take weeks to heal. Everything that happens there affects the horse’s movement.
🧴 Directions for use
⚠️ Tighten the girth in stages, walking between each adjustment: a horse that is girthed all at once tenses up and expands its belly, leaving the girth too loose ten minutes later. ⚠️ Measure the length from one billet hole to the other with the girth in place: the buckles must remain above the elbow and beneath the flap, never straddling either one. Brush the wool when dry and hand-wash it in lukewarm water without fabric softener: fabric softener flattens the fibers and reduces their effectiveness.
