The oiled leather in the Foster series is infused with vegetable oils during tanning: the pores open and the oil penetrates deeply through several layers. The leather remains supple for years, does not dry out, and develops the slightly distinctive patina seen especially on the brown version. The long Casper combines a widened central support area, strongly contoured sides that provide plenty of elbow clearance, and synthetic sheepskin attached with hook-and-loop fasteners. It can be removed for washing; a replacement pad is available separately.

This is the girth for horses that cannot tolerate anything around their girth area: a widened surface, clear elbow space and a fur-like contact layer. When nothing else works, this one does.
🧴 Care instructions
The synthetic sheepskin detaches using its hook-and-loop fasteners and can be hand-washed at 30°C or machine-washed in a laundry bag. Dry it flat, never in a tumble dryer. The leather should be cared for separately with glycerin soap.
