Developed with instructor Antje Bandholz: a flat seat and flat knee rolls for a rider who moves, shoulder-inclined panels and a short bearing surface for a horse that swings its back.

Freemove Dynamic Dressage Saddle

  • Flat seat and flat knee rolls: freedom for the rider
  • Shoulder-inclined panels, adjusted horse by horse
  • Short bearing surface: relieves the rear of the back
  • Redesigned girthing straps: the girth stays perfectly straight
  • Flat-gusset Freedom Panels, adjustable tree opening

Features

  • Leather: Natural Grip leather (Teak: European calf leather only)
  • Leathers: Seat, knee rolls and panels in Selloil leather
  • Tree: PS, flat seat, adjustable opening
  • Girth straps: 2 x 70 cm without point strap
  • Seat sizes: 16.5" to 18"
  • Colors: Black, Havana, Teak

Why choose it

Designed for horses that lock their backs: the saddle lets them swing instead of stiffening them.

Fitting options

This saddle is ordered with its options: they are added to the displayed price and confirmed with you before production begins. Prices are those in the current Passier price list. If a term is unclear, our saddle anatomy page names every part, with an accompanying diagram.

  • “The Lifter” panels (083) — no extra charge: for a high withers and a sloping back; shorter and rounded at the rear, they quickly clear the back and cannot press on it
  • frt-System® (051) — €440: anatomical pommel plate branches that free the shoulder during movement; Passier recommends combining it with front panel wedges (043)
  • 15° open cantle (054) — €330: more room and freedom in the saddle with the same seat size; on a short-backed horse, it allows you to go down one seat size
  • Freedom of movement panel (048) — €280: developed with instructor Eberhard Weiß, including a widened pommel plate; the trapezius can expand freely
  • Widened pommel plate (080) — €140: for horses with high, wide withers; it simplifies saddle fitting
  • Front panel wedges (043) — €100: more panel volume at the front, to fill hollows behind the shoulder
  • Queen Special Feature (081) — €70: a recess at the front of the tree, beneath the seat, that permanently relieves pressure on the pelvis
  • Additional girth straps with widened buckle guard (041) — €70
  • Saddle handle (062) — €29

Covering and finishes: Deluxe-covered flaps (088, €660), covered long and short flaps (053, €450), flaps in Natural Grip leather (087, €230), special-design knee rolls (089, €230), Velcro knee rolls (055, €150), cantle in a special-design version with Premium Crystals (057, €250) or without (056, €130). Any other customization — thread color, raised glossy topstitching, two-tone finish… — is subject to a €50 design study fee (992).

Premium Crystals (059) — €12 each: Clear Crystal, Colorado Topaz, Silver Night, Rosé, Siam Red or Emerald Green, in 4.2 mm, 6.2 mm or 7.2 mm. The smallest size is available only in Clear Crystal and Colorado Topaz.

A saddle made for your horse

This saddle is made to order. When your order is confirmed, we will determine with you the seat size, tree opening (adjustable in 0.5 cm increments, from 24 to 32 cm on this wood-and-leather tree) and color. Allow approximately two months for production. PS-tree saddles ordered from September 1, 2026 onward are supplied as standard with the new Superior leather on the seat and knee rolls.

Have your horse’s back measured: Passier adjusts each saddle to individual measurements. Our measurement guide explains step by step how to take the back measurement with a flexible wire, the three photos to provide and the form to print.
