A saddle pad with an integrated shock absorber avoids layering two thicknesses under the saddle, each with its own creases and edges. The spinal cutout prevents the layers from closing the gullet.
🧴 Care instructions
Pull the pad up into the saddle's gullet before girthing up, to clear the withers: a pad stretched over the spinous processes presses exactly where it should not. Brush it when dry after each session and wash it regularly — it is the salt from perspiration, not the fabric, that irritates the skin. ⚠️ Do not use fabric softener: it clogs the moisture-regulating fibres.
