The blade that leaves 5 mm: the one for blanket clips and the one chosen for older horses.
Five millimetres is twice the length of a Coarse blade. It does not strip the coat; it evens it out: the horse keeps protection from the cold while losing the dead hair that makes it sweat. This is the blade for partial late-season clips, and the one recommended for an older horse or one living outdoors that should not be left exposed.
German stainless steel, grooved profile, can be resharpened several times.

🐎 Why choose this product?
A 5 mm clip requires less covering afterwards than a close clip. For a horse that lives outdoors or is getting older, it is often the right compromise between comfort during work and protection in the field.
🧴 Care instructions
After each clip: brush away the hair, oil the blade while running, and wipe off the excess. A dry blade heats up and wears out within just a few sessions.
