Four tooth patterns for four coat conditions, on the same clipper head: the one used with Wahl Star, Fusion and Eclipse clippers.
Wahl names its heads by tooth pattern rather than by number. Surgical cuts the shortest, at 1 mm. Fine leaves 1.4 mm - the length that preserves the coat's color and shine, and the one most often used between two clips. Medium and Coarse leave the same length, around 2.5 mm, but Coarse has a more open tooth pattern: it is the one to use on a thick winter coat that would clog a closely spaced pattern.
German stainless steel, with a grooved profile that makes the head lighter, keeps it cooler and helps it glide better. Can be resharpened several times.

🐎 Why choose this product?
The tooth pattern matters just as much as the cutting length. On a dense winter coat, a pattern that is too closely spaced becomes clogged, the clipper pulls and the horse lets you know. If you are unsure with a heavily coated horse, choose Coarse.
🧴 Care tips
After each clipping session: brush out the hairs, oil the head while it is running, and wipe off the excess. A dry head heats up, pulls the hair and wears out within a few sessions. Have it resharpened rather than replacing it.
