XANTEX
Exercise-induced pulmonary hemorrhage is common and largely silent. Observed particularly in racehorses, it causes the destruction of alveolar tissue and its capillaries. XANTEX is the supplement formulated to maintain the integrity of pulmonary capillaries in horses subjected to intensive exercise.
It is intended for horses that show signs of pulmonary weakness: unexplained underperformance, prolonged respiratory recovery, nosebleeds after exertion. It primarily concerns racehorses, but also applies to sport horses pushed to their limits.
🔎 Two forms, two uses
- Powder — the long-term course. 30 g per day, providing 33 days of use per 1 kg tub. This is the format for ongoing use throughout an entire season.
- Oral syringe — on race day. One syringe administered 2 hours before the event, directly into the mouth. The box contains 4.
✨ Key benefits
- ✔ Targets the integrity of pulmonary capillaries
- ✔ Formulated for intensive exercise — racing and high-level sport
- ✔ Two complementary forms: long-term powder course, targeted action in a syringe
- ✔ Syringe at T-2 hours: precise administration on the day of the event
- ✔ Measuring scoop included with the powder
- ✔ Made by Farnam, an American equine-care reference since 1946
📋 Technical specifications

🐎 Why choose XANTEX?
Because exercise-induced pulmonary hemorrhage is almost never visible from the outside: it manifests as a horse that “doesn't finish,” mistakenly thought to be insufficiently trained. The two presentations cover both stages — long-term preparation and the day of the event.
